The service

SudokuHint (the "site") is a free Sudoku game and tutorial library at sudokuhint.com. There is no account, no subscription, and no payment. You may use the site for personal, non-commercial enjoyment and learning.

As-is, no warranty

The site is provided "as is." The puzzles are generated by an algorithm and the hint engine is a heuristic — both are extensively tested but not guaranteed to be error-free. If you spot a wrong hint or an unsolvable puzzle, please email us; we fix bugs fast.

We do not guarantee uninterrupted availability. The site may go down briefly for maintenance or due to upstream provider issues.

Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Scrape the site at a rate that disrupts service for others
• Embed our pages in a frame on a domain pretending to be us
• Reproduce the tutorial text in bulk on another site without attribution
• Attempt to exploit security vulnerabilities (responsible disclosure welcome)

Intellectual property

The Sudoku game itself is in the public domain. The tutorial text, hint engine wording, and visual design on SudokuHint are © SudokuHint and may not be copied verbatim onto other sites. Short quotations with a link back are fine.

Liability

To the maximum extent allowed by law, SudokuHint is not liable for any damages arising from your use of the site. (We are, in plain words, a free Sudoku site — please do not sue us for an off-by-one in a Naked Pair detection.)

Changes to these terms

We may revise these terms occasionally. Material changes will be marked with a new "Last updated" date. Continued use of the site after that date means you accept the revised terms.
